What if a site blocks symbols
Some old sites refuse symbols. Uncheck the symbols box and raise the length to 20 or more. Extra length covers the missing group. Never shrink below 16 to please a weak site form.

Which groups to keep on
Keep all four groups on for normal use. Capitals, small letters, numbers, and symbols together give the maker the widest pool, and a wide pool means harder guessing. If an old site refuses symbols, turn only that group off and add more length. Never drop to a single group. Letters alone, even long ones, fall much faster.
